Venues

My Save the Dates were successful! However all the information I sent with them is now completely useless. Our first venue was a noooo when Le patron was super odd. Our second venue decided to close down..luckily no money had been paid....we still have 11 months to go but I need as much accommodation to be near the venue as possible easier said then done in dark central Brittany. Finding a restau or salle is fine, one with suitable accommodation for a mix of rowdy Brits, Scots, Yanks and Franks is a different matter...within walking distance..as taxis don't exist.

....my invites look nice though!

I'm cheap.....Save the date

It is not a secret that Mark and I at this point in time are poor, possibly as poor as church mice. Weddings and lack of money don't go hand in hand, well Emily and inexpensive weddings don't go together to be honest. We are lucky that we will get some help from my parents but I can already feel the panic set in. You know its going to be hard when the Save the Dates make you have a cold sweat. However phase one on how to have (hopefully) the wedding of your dreams for NO money is to find a printing website such as Truprint or Jessops. These websites normally have a incentive to join ie 20 free photographs on first purchase...Some of them even do free delivery! I found a template that I really like online and customized it and then uploaded it to one of these websites. Yes it is on photo paper... however I think they are slightly unusual and very cute (I'm biased!).

I do think you have to be willing to trawl the internet, Mark was impressed with my creativity... (what else does he expect from the women he is going to get hitched to!)

2 years older

It is July 7th 2011, I haven't 'blogged' in over 2 years. Where did the time go? I spent a year training to be a teacher and failed miserably at first at finding any type of work after finishing. I think I am on a upward work spiral......Maybe? Mark lost his job and is now retraining to become a Mental Health Nurse. This meant we had to move 4 hours 'up' the country to Southampton, something I am still not that impressed with and miss 'home' like crazy....although getting to used to not having a life is getting easier. Seriously I definitely don't <3 Southampton, It gave me my first points on my Driving License (GAH).
I (I mean we) got engaged last October...shiney ring, big white dresses, bridesmaids dresses, BIG BILLS.I <3 the idea of weddings, the organisation part not so much.

I am firmly in my Twenties now which isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I think weddings, jobs and Southampton are my new focal points.
